ASANA SEQUENCE

“NOTE: You need room on both sides to be able to stretch your arms and alternate legs out.
This a rare Vinyasa flow class where Jasmine links several poses including arm and leg raises, the swan, downward facing dog, and the warrior pose. The class starts with the students seated on their heels. If needed, take support (blocks-blankets) to lift your hips and a thin blanket behind your knees. The sequence includes beathing, arm raises, spinal extensions, cat stretches, alternating arm & leg raises, legs to the side, half tortoise, the three stages of swan and downward facing dog. Downward dog is instructed in stages. Initially you are seated on blocks with feet flat in front, engaging your quads and extending legs in preperation for downward dog legs. Then on all fours, initially raising your knees only and finally raising your hips back to downward dog. Keep your knees slightly bent. There is flow between swan and downward dog. The warrior pose completes the vinyasa. Follow Jasmine’s instructions!
