YOGA PROPS REQUIRED: Yoga Mat, Yoga Blanket, Yoga Blocks (2)
The class starts with students in a kneeling position. Sit back on your heels, take support (blocks) as needed. This continues with the breathing/extension section while in a seated position followed by a series of “Neck Exercises”: LIFT CHIN UP TO CEILING, TURN NECK RIGHT-LEFT, EAR TO SHOULDER. This is followed by arm raises/shoulder rotation including making circles with your arms, “EXHAUST THE CONTROL FREAKS”, then on all 4’s for spinal extension. Downward facing dog is instructed in two parts: Upper body extension with chest growing forward, then knee raises and finally downward dog. The class continues after a short rest with bridge and concludes with savasana.
